Crops

At Coleman Agriculture, we manage more than 7,500 acres of land in the Willamette Valley, cultivating some of the highest-quality crops you’ll find anywhere. We specialize in aroma hops, Pinot Noir wine grapes, hazelnuts, seed crops, and a variety of vegetables, selling directly to brokers and commercial partners.

Hops

We are one of Oregon’s most diverse hop growers, harvesting millions of pounds from more than a dozen distinct varieties every year.
We are proud to be a Yakima Chief Hops owner-grower, producing top-quality Citra®, Mosiac® and Simcoe®, plus we have just added new varieties Krush® and Dolcita®.

Wine Grapes

In 2023, we planted 34 acres of Pinot Noir wine grapes (Dijon 115, Pommard, and Swiss newcomer Mariafeld) north of St. Paul, Oregon, in the Willamette Valley AVA. This vineyard is located at the foothills of the Chehalem Mountains (and just 4 miles east of the renowned Dundee Hills wine region).

Hazelnuts

The Coleman family began cultivating hazelnuts in 969.
Currently, Oregon grows 95% of all U.S.-grown Hazelnuts.

Grass Seed

Oregon’s Willamette Valley is renowned as the “Grass Seed Capital of the World,” producing two-thirds of the United States cool-season forage and turf grass crops (fescue, ryegrass, clover and wheat, for example) while supplying roughly 75% of the world's demand. Our growing conditions are ideal for high-quality seed due to mild, wet winters and dry summers.

Vegetables

The mild climate and fertile soil of the Willamette Valley are ideal for vegetable production. Our key vegetable crops include garlic, corn, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, squash and green beans.
If there’s a demand for it, we will grow it.
