Frequently Asked Questions

I am interested in fresh hopping at one of Coleman Agriculture's locations. What do I do now?

We are glad to hear you are interested in visiting one of our farms! Please email freshhop@colemanag.com. A Coleman Agriculture representative will reach out to you to discuss varieties, pounds, pick-up locations, and harvest windows.

How do I pay for my order(s)?

* Public Varieties and Amarillo® Hops – All public varieties and Amarillo® will be billed and invoiced through Coleman Agriculture.

* YCH Proprietary Varieties – Please fill out the order form on the YCH website prior to your arrival. If you forget or happen to change the amount you are picking up, we will have you fill out another form at the farm. YCH will invoice you for their varieties.

* Indie Hops Proprietary Varieties – Please email matt@indiehops.com to place your order. Indie Hops will invoice you for their varieties.

Can you confirm my pickup date?

The harvest dates for each of our varieties are subject to change due to weather, logistics, and many other factors. During fresh hop harvest, flexibility is key! Our team will work with you to set a tentative date and time prior to harvest. As your pick-up date gets closer, you can expect daily updates during the week of your scheduled variety. This way if anything in the schedule change, you will be the first to know.

What happens once I show up at the farm to pick up my hops?

We will be awaiting your arrival, just look for the Fresh Hop Pick-up banner! Once you pull up to the farm, you can usually help us fill a bag or two so that you can partake in all the fresh hop fun! Our team will weigh each bag and load them in your vehicle. Additionally, if your time allows, we would love to offer you a tour and encourage you to snap a few photos of the farm. If you want to bring your social media team, that is great, just give us a heads-up!

What do I need to bring with me to the farm?

The safety and well-being of our visitors is our top priority. Therefore, we provide personal protective equipment for our visitors when entering our facilities. Please wear close-toed shoes and have your hair pulled back.  We will also be supplying the bags needed for filling and transporting your fresh hops.
